JT comes home the other night and Abby runs up to him and says, "what's you brought me, Daddy?". He told her that he didn't bring anything and she asks again, "you didn't bring any mangos (sucker)?" which he occasionally brings her after going to the bank. He said, "no, sweetheart, I didn't bring you a sucker". She tries again with, "you didn't bring any bird feathers?". JT's homecoming was a bit of a letdown for her.
I also have been thinking a lot about what a two year old can get away with that a grown up can not. Each of these things Abby has done in the last few weeks but picture what you would think if it were a grown up trying to do these things.
- Picking the cheese off the top of the salad just before we sit down to eat dinner with some guests
- Going to friends house's and immediately running into their closet to start trying on their shoes
- Waring nothing but red cowboy boots the whole day
- Taking clothes off in public
- Throwing herself on the floor screaming and kicking her legs
- Picking up her excretory product from the potty chair to very proudly show me and anyone else who happens to be in the house at the time
- Stand up in the middle of a crowded restaurant on top of a chair to sing her ABC's
- Pulling down her pants and squatting and peeing in the backyard or park
- Staring at perfect stangers in a restaurant and commenting on their hair, clothes, or shoes within earshot of them
Here's a recent picture of Abby with her headband that she bought while on a date with Daddy.
Here's a picture of Bella just because she gets very little attention these days.
Love the post. That list could go on and on and on :) Beautiful picture of Abigail, and so glad you included that one of Bella :) :) I miss team Lloyd! xoxoxoxo
